Nominations open on Sunday, July 15th

Don't forget to start assembling your list of favorite Twilight Fanfiction stories. Be sure to read all the rules first and then go though the categories below.

Our nomination ballots will open on Sunday, July 15th and run until August 5th.

Story Types

One-Shot - Completed (Under 50 reviews)
Short Story - A completed story between 2 and 10 chapters long (Under 200 reviews or has an average of 30 reviews or less per chapter.)
Full Length Fics

WIP - Must have at least 6 chapters to be nom’d. (Under 500 reviews or has an average of 30 reviews or less per chapter)
Completed - Must be over 10 chapters to be nom’d. (Under 500 reviews or has an average of 30 reviews or less per chapter)

Newbie Author Award - for excellence in writing - has only been posting fanfic for the last 12 months and has an average of 50 reviews or less per chapter/one-shot written. (First story created on or after July 1, 2011)
Oldie But a Goodie Author Award - for excellence in writing - has posted stories for longer than 12 months, yet has an average of 50 reviews or less per chapter/one-shot written. (First story created before July 1, 2011)

Best Edward/Bella
Best Jake/Bella
Best Cullen Lovin’ (Excluding E/B)
Best Vamp Volturi/Nomad/Non-Cullen (any pairing)
Best Running with the Wolves (Excluding Bella/Jake)

We are actively looking for a few good people interested in helping out on our validation team.

FYI - Validation team member's stories are eligible to be nominated for an award. You just won't be able to validate your own story.

2012 Award Info & Nominations

It's that time of year again. The Emerging Swan Awards will begin accepting nominations for your favorite underappreciated fics in mid-July.

This year we will have one round of nominations. There will be one form to nominate One-shots, Short Stories and Newbie Authors, and a second form for Full Length Fics: WIP and Completed and Oldie but Goodie Authors. Each group will have its own round of voting. Check out the descriptions below to see where your favorite under the radar fic fits.

There are plenty of categories, so check them out and start compiling your list of nominees. The nomination forms and links will be available in mid-July. Be sure to read the rules before you nominate to make sure your favorites meet the necessary criteria.

We’re looking forward to finding some undiscovered gems.

So long... Farewell...

Before we fly off for the winter,

we wanted to say one more quick thank you.

To all of our nominees - Thank you so much for putting your work out there. We were ecstatic to have so many fantastic fics nominated and we hope by being nominated, it may have driven some additional readers to your story that perhaps wouldn't have found your hidden gem.

To all of our winners - CONGRATULATIONS once again. Well done and bravo.

To all who nominated and voted on these wonderful stories - Thanks so much for your support. The Emerging Swan Awards wouldn't have been successful without people reading and loving the stories that were featured here.

To our amazing validation team - thanks for your hard work and diligence to ensure all the fics met our rules and criteria. We really couldn't have done it without your help.

Lastly a HUGE GIGANTIC THANK YOU to Christag_Banners who created each and every winner's banner. That was 45 individual banners if I recall. Well done and Cheers to you! If you won, please make sure to credit her with the banner when you post it.

We're unsure if we'll be having this award annually or bi-annually, but we'll be sure to let you all know once the decision has been made.
